I have recieved comments and advice that I should read: "The Life Application Bible- New Living Translation." I believe this is a good idea and I would like to thank Bunny, aka MQM, Deb, and Dani for their bible technique suggestions. Dani didn't suggest this bible but has got me off on a good start with Proverbs. Unfourtunatly, I found that I had not brought my bible with me on this trip but I am returning home today!
My mother needs to take me shopping for camp anyway so why not ask her to get me this Life Application Bible?! Can you find it at a normal book store though? I don't want to have to go into some wierd and rare, little hard-to-find place. Just an avrage book store.
Ya know, I was reading the first part of the bible, (maybe half a year ago) where all the people are spreading and it was sooooo boring. Do you know which part I am talking about? For ex- Fred and Mary then had Bill, Bob, and Joe. Marcus and Eliza had Anne-Lois and Bertha who became wifes to Bill and Joe. Bill and Anne-Lois had Urcle who died at age 4.
Now, I am not quoting but this is what is was like! I just skipped it finally because it was sooooo boring. The sad part is I bet there are people out there who read it like 5 times to make sure they understand and then they go memorize it! Just scary, plain scary! Can you imagine being one of those writers sitting their having to write that all out? I mean it lasted like 3 pages I think.
Well, please let me know about the regular bookstore thing so I can hop to the learning! I'm really wanting to start this bible, I NEED a greater connection with God and I believe that and blogging and praying is a good start.... but I will NOT (I REPEAT) WILL NOT GO TO CHURCH!!!!!!!!!
*shivers* they're wierd....
Must be going, I have another post to start :)

STRANGE PHENOMENA:
it's wierd... no matter where i put that bible it ends up floating somewhere else. last time i had seen it (before i began proverbs i mean) it had been near my bed or something and i looked, not there so i went to reading nook and it was on the shelf... wierd huh? maybe i put it there while cleaning my room or something but it's happened before when i didn't have the faintest idea how it had moved. nobody else in the house really goes looking for it or something so i doubt they'd move it. ya know, my parents are walking around going: hey, taylor, have you seen the bible??? just plain wierd how it moves. oh well... i found it thats what counts. i'll ask mom about getting the new translation one before camp. :)
*yawn* must be going.
MUCH LOVE
~T is for TAYLOR
Hi Taylor, how are you doing?
I'm glad to hear that you have a least picked up the Bible to start reading it - Good for you. One thing that I also like to do is highlight verses that stand out to me that way I can refer back to them later. Maybe you can start doing that when you get your new bible? My recommendation is a NIV Study Bible(New International Version) to begin with. But you get whatever you want.
Keep in mind too that you can always go online and read the Bible here in every translation there is:
BibleGateway.com: http://www.biblegateway.com/
Bible.com: http://www.bible.com/
Take care and be good!
BTW Taylor - You can buy most Bibles at any regular bookstore, even Wal-Mart sells them -so you shouldn't have any trouble.
Also, this was something I wrote a few months ago that might help you get started => How Do You Know if the Bible is 100% Accurate?
Hey Dani!
Happy Fourth o' July!
Thanks, I was looking on interent different versions of the bible.
I wrote down some bits and pieces I liked while I was reading, I'll be doing a post on them.
LUV YA

Thanks MQM!
I used to think that Christian Churches were "wierd" too. Not because I had ever been to one...but because of all the bad things I had heard non-Christians say about it. Now that I've attended a few churches I see that they are not as weird as I thought they would be. And it was actually very nice to go. The first time I ever went to church, it was like something came over me...it was hard to explain. It was such a wonderful feeling...like I was home. It made me cry...which of course made me feel kind of silly. You should really give church a chance. I think you would find what you are looking for there. :)
